Mast responds to International Criminal Court's threat against sanctions

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21)released the following statement in response to the International Criminal Court's threat to pursue legal action against countries that choose to sanction the organization for its decision-making.

"The International Kangaroo Court should be thankful it doesn't have a mandate to prosecute willful ignorance. If it did, the entire organization would be forced to turn itself in at once," said Congressman Mast. "With its threat today, the court has shown it has no respect for the sovereignty of individual nations."

Congressman Mast chairs the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability.
